Frank Offord (l.) and Arthur MacLucas (r.) on the wagon. Arthur was married to Emma, the youngest daughter of Alexander and Hannah. Handwriting on this photo is Mary Offord McCormick. This photo was widely circulated among the family probably because it showl Hazel raking the hay. One day after completing this chore, she was struck by lightning while letting the horse through the gate into the pasture and killed. The gate was by a large sycamore tree, which still stands.
