The History of Morgan County, OH 1980 His family moved from Washington Co to Meigs Creek, Bristol Twp, Morgan Co when he was one year old. There he became a prominent farmer. In 1875, He and Lucinda moved to Bloom Twp. During the Civil War, Loren was Sergeant and Color Bearer, Company C, 122nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He enlisted 15 Aug 1862 and carried the colors in 17 battles. He received a gunshot wound in the left hand at the great Battle of the Wilderness in VA, 6 May 1864 and a severe saber cut in the head at Opequan, VA, 19 Sept 1964. He was discharged at Washington, 26 June 1865.
